In June this year he launched a Smart ABC franchise in south Stockport, carrying out SMART repairs to cars.

He said: “I spotted an ad for Smart ABC and started doing some research, eventually attending an open day at their headquarters in Kidderminster.”

Impressed by the company and the franchise programme, he went ahead with his decision to invest and began his training.

“It starts off with fairly basic panel repairs, but by the third day, you are painting and lacquering a car. After three weeks I left the training centre with the skills and competence to start my new business, and a fully equipped brand new Mercedes Vito van,” he said.

Following his business launch, which was organised by Smart ABC, he turned over £1,500 in his first week.

“I am passionate about cars, so I feel lucky to be doing a job that I am enthusiastic about and running a business that is keeping me so busy,” added Mr Dolan.
