That was back in 2001. Being a natural carer, and an animal lover, she was drawn to the idea of running her own Oscar pet food franchise. Nine years on, her business based in Cheadle, Cheshire is thriving and she still enjoys being able to spend more time with her family.

She said: “My research of the franchise market led me to Oscar, which appealed to me for all the right reasons, including the fact that the outlay suited my budget.  I also liked the flexibility that the business offered, which is essential when you are juggling your time between your customers and your home.
