At the end of his first year as an SMA Worldwide franchisee, Ben Soames is feeling on top of the world.

From his business park office he can ship any item, large or small, worldwide, allowing his clients to benefit from his ability to make time critical deliveries to locations such as China, India, USA, Europe and the UK.


How does he get to so many places? The answer lies with franchisor SMA Worldwide. Packages are collected from clients by Mr Soames’ driver and delivered to an SMA hub. From there, using their unique distribution network, built up over many years, SMA takes over the shipment delivery process, which Mr Soames and his clients can then track online.     


SMA Worldwide franchisees need good sales and account management skills, but not courier industry experience, to run this potentially very profitable franchise.


By following the proven SMA formula Mr Soames says he is making an excellent return, with a monthly turnover already as high as £25,000.


He said: “After a great first year I am on track to double sales and profits in year two with the SMA Worldwide multi-revenue streams.”
