A former senior manager with a leading express delivery company, she has used her managerial skills and expertise to develop her business into a successful management franchise.

She spent her first three years working as an owner operator, travelling to customer’s homes to clean ovens, but as she struggled to cope with growing customer demand she decided to take on a second vehicle and recruit her first employee.

Today Ms Parker employs two people, operates three vehicles, and takes more of a management role in her business.

She said: “My ambition from the start was to develop my Ovenclean business into a multi-vehicle franchise and it’s worked really well for me. I work sensible hours and my hourly income is much higher than my previous salary as a senior manager.”

With plans to expand into yet another area, she added: “I’m not complacent, but I am confident about the future and the prospect of taking my Ovenclean business to the next stage.”
