CHIPSAWAY franchisee Steve Hunt is hoping his son James will prove to be a ‘chip off the old block’, as he joins the business to help meet customer demand.
Mr Hunt, who joined ChipsAway 18 months ago, has been so busy recently that he reached a point where new customers were having to wait up to a month to have minor paintwork damage repaired on their cars.
He said: “I couldn’t take on any more work and didn’t want to let customers down, so I had to take on some help.
James had been laid off from his job in the construction industry, so joining me seemed the obvious solution. He’s hard working, reliable, and excited about the prospect of us working together.”

Before joining the automotive paintwork repair specialist Mr Hunt worked in motor finance and was familiar with the ChipsAway name.
Employing his son and putting a second vehicle on the road will not only alleviate work pressure, but will also create a platform for his expansion plans, which include taking on a second territory and adding another vehicle.
