FATHER and son partnerships are proving to be a perfect fit for an etyres franchise.
The etyres online tyre company has seen an increase in the number of families teaming up to take on territories.
In some cases the father provides the financial backing and takes a back seat in running the business, while other partnerships operate as a team.
Gareth Rimmer, 42, had the support of his father Brian when he decided to take on an etyres franchise in Wigan in 2008.

He said: “I couldn't have done it without my dad's help. He lent me a large part of the start-up costs, and I’ve been able to concentrate on building up the business without having to worry about repaying him immediately, knowing that once I'm ready I can work out a monthly payment plan to repay him.
“When I’m I'm rushed off my feet, he also comes out and helps me on the van and does the ordering for the next day’s tyres. It has worked out really well; I’m enjoying the work and my dad is delighted to have helped me out,” he added.
etyres is a full member of the bfa.
