He said: “Losing my job after 22 years was a real blow, but it also provided the impetus I needed to start looking into running my own business. I thought about a franchise and looked at various investment opportunities, from garden maintenance to parcel delivery.

Having joined the network in May, Mr Lowe says he is already ahead of his projected turnover for the first few months.
