Aspray franchisees specialise in project managing property insurance claims and subsequent repair works caused by storms, burst pipes, accidental damage or fire and floods. Their role is to assess the damage, negotiate with insurance companies and then provide contractors to ensure the work is carried out.

Insurance claims provide most of the work, but Aspray also works with a number of national brokers and individual companies to ensure a steady stream of work.

The key to success lies in hard work and excellent project management skills. No experience necessary as training and support are provided, but a keen interest in property restoration is an advantage.

Founded in 2005 by James Whittle, Aspray has over 60 franchisees in the UK and Eire, with plans to expand the network and launch a further 60 franchise opportunities over the next five years.

Mr Whittle said: “The focus of the strategy will be to raise Aspray’s national profile within the insurance sector and ensure that Aspray is a familiar household brand by 2012.”
