VEHICLE REPAIR LEADER FIGHTS ROGUE OPERATORS

Monday 15th November 2010

Revive! Auto Innovations has marked another successful year by gaining IMI Awards-centre approval to offer quality assured qwards (QAA) for their new national cosmetic qualification (NCQ).

The leading automotive SMART repair specialist, renowned for exceptional levels of customer service and top quality support for its national network of technicians, can now offer the NCQ under the IMI Awards QAA programme to technicians who complete a five-week training course at their head office in Rugby.

Managing director Mark Llewellyn said “Cosmetic techniques have an important role to play in the vehicle repair model, but without recognised standards, quality has been historically patchy with some rogue mobile operators giving our industry a bad name.”

Mr Llewellyn was a member of the Institute of the Motor Industry working party that was set up to develop the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for paintless dent removal and SMART cosmetic repair.

He added: “We’ve worked extremely hard to drive home the need for a set of national standards for cosmetic smart repairs and we are delighted to have achieved the status of IMI approved training centre.”
