WHEN Alistair Hoy invested in a ChipsAway franchise earlier this year he had big plans for his business.
Although he intended to operate initially as a ‘man and a van’, his sights were set on opening a ChipsAway CarCare Centre within six months as a first step to establishing a management franchise.
Having achieved that goal, Mr Hoy has begun the process of building a team of technicians to help him. He expects to invest in additional ChipsAway vehicles over the coming months and predicts that if all goes according to plan, his ChipsAway franchise will be a million pound turnover business within three to five years.
He said: “I wasn’t in the position to invest up to £200,000 in one of the major franchise brands, so I wanted a business opportunity with the potential to grow into a sizeable operation.”
Leading automotive paintwork repair specialists ChipsAway emerged as the clear choice.
Mr Hoy added: “Although ChipsAway has been established in the UK for over 15 years, I feel as though I’m in on something that’s just beginning. Brand awareness is growing and so is market share.”
