CLEANING AGENTS COP BENEFITS

Wednesday 30th November -0001

As a former police officer, David Morgan’s organised and disciplined approach is ideally suited to franchising. His first business experience on leaving the force was as a franchisee with a personal injuries claims company.

But eight months ago he changed direction again and invested in a Swisher washroom hygiene franchise.

He was attracted by a “business with a reputation” and considerable market potential. So far he has not been disappointed. He has more than 40 customers in his Swansea East territory and is beginning to receive referral work. Morgan started out with a service manager and later took on a service technician. He now plans to appoint a salesman as there is “so much potential work out there”.

Swisher UK was set up in 1997 when Jeffrey Keen bought the master franchisor rights from the US parent company.

The service is suitable for any non-residential washrooms, particularly businesses such as restaurants, pubs and hotels. UK customers include McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Whitbread, Texaco, Esso and Shell.

“If we continue to grow in the next six months as we have so far, I will be very happy,” says Morgan. “I would recommend Swisher to anybody.”
