IT’S SHOWTIME

Budding business owners will find everything they need, from inspiration to information, at the National Franchise Exhibition taking place at Birmingham’s NEC on October 3 and 4.

Sponsored by Express Newspapers, the exhibition, the largest franchising event of its kind in the UK, will be packed with innovative ideas and concepts.
For prospective franchisees the ideal starting point is the Find Your Franchise Zone, which aims to match up visitors’ interests and experience with their ideal franchise according to their level of investment, key interests and location.
The Woman in Franchising Zone, sponsored by Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Clubs, is a dedicated area intended to educate and assist women who are contemplating a new career through franchising. This zone features a series of free seminars with useful ideas and tips on becoming your own boss. Speakers include Josephine Fairley, co-founder of organic chocolate company Green & Black’s, Jessica Huie, founder of multicultural greeting card firm Colorblind Cards, and Lara Boyle, joint founder of Beauty & the Bib, designers of bespoke baby bibs.
At the Exhibitor Presentation Theatre, the founders of some of the leading franchise brands such as Bartercard, Subway, Snappy Snaps, Daiso and Platinum Property Partners, along with their franchisees, will be providing some insight into the ideas and thoughts behind their business concepts.
One of the highlights of the exhibition will be a series of free seminars run by the British Franchise Association (bfa) across both days of the event. Designed to help everyone new to franchising find out more about becoming a franchisee or franchisor, the seminars will include valuable advice and specific success stories from leading speakers from the UK franchise industry, all of them bfa members or affiliates.
The Franchisee Forum –‘from employee to franchisee’ - also takes place on both days of the exhibition, and offers potential franchise investors a practical and realistic insight into what it takes to become a franchisee.
Taking centre stage will be a gathering of over 200 franchise business concepts, representing all industry sectors, from automotive to health and fitness and home improvement to food and drink. Exhibitors include Atlantic Business Resources, BB’s Coffee & Muffins, Bartercard, Cartridge World, Cash Converters, Chipsaway, Dream Doors, Dietcare, Fastway Couriers, Mail Boxes Etc, McDonalds Restaurants, Papa John’s, Subway, Tiffinbites and Wimpy.
The exhibition is exclusively supported by the British Franchise Association (bfa), and all franchises present are accredited by the bfa.
