It is this unique service that is fuelling the growth of the Furniture Clinic franchise network.

Sales director Ben Staerck said: “People are feeling the pinch and cannot afford to buy new furniture, so they are looking into having it repaired. Our service costs around 20 per cent of the cost of buying new, and the end result is as good as new.”

Customer enquiries for this service have risen drastically, and Furniture Clinic shares these jobs out among their franchisees.

Mr Staerck added: “We’re getting upwards of 30 enquiries a day now from as far South as Cornwall right up to the Scottish highlands, and not only for furniture, but for repairs to car interiors, clothes, handbags, shoes, saddles and all types of leather.”

Furniture Clinic, which currently has nine franchises throughout the UK, is looking to expand their franchise network to meet this demand.
