ENTREPRENEUR Max Angliss gave up his business of twenty years to start a new venture in a new sector, automotive paintwork repair, as a franchisee with ChipsAway.
His main reasons for choosing to invest in a ChipsAway franchise included the relatively low initial outlay, scope for expansion, and resilience to many of the pressures created by the recession.
He said: “I could see the market potential of a ChipsAway franchise; right now most people are focused on keeping their vehicles in good condition to get an extra year or two’s life out of them, rather than buying new.”
Mr Angliss launched his franchise last October, initially operating a mobile repair service. He has since expanded his business; taking on a second area and establishing a ChipsAway CarCare Centre in a prime location, where he believes his business will boom.
“The business has given me a tremendous sense of achievement and a renewed zest for success. In a nutshell, my ChipsAway franchise has provided an opportunity for a great new future,” he said.
