GARAGE doors that are old or unsightly can now be transformed without having to be replaced.
Garage Door Restore has developed a glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) garage door skin that can be attached to an existing garage door. It saves customers money and requires no annual maintenance.
Key markets include customers who want the kerb appeal of a new door but can’t afford the cost; council owned or managed garages where annual costs are incurred for maintenance and painting, and customers in brand new properties who want to upgrade from the basic, often poorer quality garage doors fitted by the developers.
As an added environmental benefit, restoring garage doors avoids the need for disposal of doors that are being replaced.
Garage Door Restore is now looking to take on more appointed agents throughout the UK to cope with demand.
Business development director Damian Webb said: “This business opportunity is suitable for anyone with reasonable DIY skills. The technique is easy to learn and we provide all the training you need.”
Garage Door Restore are currently working with UK Trade & Investment and the Enterprise Europe Network with a view to overseas expansion, and seeking commercial partners in the USA and Europe.
