DEFYING the gloomy economic climate, automotive paintwork repair specialist ChipsAway is reporting a massive increase in new business leads passed onto their franchisees in the first half of this year.
The company has around 350 franchisees operating in the UK who have benefited a 70 per cent increase in new business leads compared with the same period last year.
Chief Executive Lloyd Evans said: “Franchisees are telling us that motorists are investing in repairing existing vehicles rather than buying new. A ChipsAway repair keeps a car looking good for longer, extending its life and maintaining its value. Customers recognise this and our franchisees are feeling the benefit.”
Cambridge-based franchisee Anatol Poyer-Sleeman agrees, saying: “The phones have not stopped ringing since the beginning of the year. We are booked solidly for up to four weeks ahead on all five of our territories and we are struggling to keep up with new enquiries.”
ChipsAway operates a 24/7 UK Call Centre and is preparing to launch a national TV advertising campaign, aimed at increasing awareness of the brand and promoting services.
